A Question About Identity
“‘သက္ကာယော, သက္ကာယော'တိ, အာဝုသော သာရိပုတ္တ, ဝုစ္စတိ၊ ကတမော နု ခေါ, အာဝုသော, သက္ကာယော”တိ?
“Friend Sāriputta, they speak of this thing called ‘identity’. What is identity?”
“ပဉ္စိမေ, အာဝုသော, ဥပါဒါနက္ခန္ဓာ သက္ကာယော ဝုတ္တော ဘဂဝတာ, သေယျထိဒံ—ရူပုပါဒါနက္ခန္ဓော, ဝေဒနုပါဒါနက္ခန္ဓော, သညုပါဒါနက္ခန္ဓော, သင်္ခါရုပါဒါနက္ခန္ဓော, ဝိညာဏုပါဒါနက္ခန္ဓော၊ ဣမေ ခေါ, အာဝုသော, ပဉ္စုပါဒါနက္ခန္ဓာ သက္ကာယော ဝုတ္တော ဘဂဝတာ”တိ၊
“Friend, the Buddha said that these five grasping aggregates are identity. That is, form, feeling, perception, functioning patterns, and consciousness. The Buddha said that these five grasping aggregates are identity.”
“အတ္ထိ ပနာဝုသော, မဂ္ဂေါ အတ္ထိ ပဋိပဒါ, ဧတဿ သက္ကာယဿ ပရိညာယာ”တိ?
“But, friend, is there a path and a practice for completely understanding this identity?”
“အတ္ထိ ခေါ, အာဝုသော, မဂ္ဂေါ အတ္ထိ ပဋိပဒါ, ဧတဿ သက္ကာယဿ ပရိညာယာ”တိ၊
“There is.” …
“ကတမော ပနာဝုသော, မဂ္ဂေါ ကတမာ ပဋိပဒါ, ဧတဿ သက္ကာယဿ ပရိညာယာ”တိ? “အယမေဝ ခေါ, အာဝုသော, အရိယော အဋ္ဌင်္ဂိကော မဂ္ဂေါ, ဧတဿ သက္ကာယဿ ပရိညာယ, သေယျထိဒံ—သမ္မာဒိဋ္ဌိ …ပေ… သမ္မာသမာဓိ၊ အယံ ခေါ, အာဝုသော, မဂ္ဂေါ အယံ ပဋိပဒါ, ဧတဿ သက္ကာယဿ ပရိညာယာ”တိ၊ “ဘဒ္ဒကော, အာဝုသော, မဂ္ဂေါ ဘဒ္ဒိကာ ပဋိပဒါ, ဧတဿ သက္ကာယဿ ပရိညာယ၊ အလဉ္စ ပနာဝုသော သာရိပုတ္တ, အပ္ပမာဒါယာ”တိ၊
