A Question About Suffering
“‘ဒုက္ခံ, ဒုက္ခန်'တိ, အာဝုသော သာရိပုတ္တ, ဝုစ္စတိ၊ ကတမံ နု ခေါ, အာဝုသော, ဒုက္ခန်”တိ?
“Friend Sāriputta, they speak of this thing called ‘suffering’. What is suffering?”
“တိဿော ဣမာ, အာဝုသော, ဒုက္ခတာ၊ ဒုက္ခဒုက္ခတာ, သင်္ခါရဒုက္ခတာ, ဝိပရိဏာမဒုက္ခတာ—ဣမာ ခေါ, အာဝုသော, တိဿော ဒုက္ခတာ”တိ၊
“Friend, there are these three forms of suffering. The suffering inherent in painful feeling; the suffering inherent in conditions; and the suffering inherent in perishing. These are the three forms of suffering.”
“အတ္ထိ ပနာဝုသော မဂ္ဂေါ အတ္ထိ ပဋိပဒါ, ဧတာသံ ဒုက္ခတာနံ ပရိညာယာ”တိ?
“But, friend, is there a path and a practice for completely understanding these forms of suffering?”
“အတ္ထိ ခေါ, အာဝုသော, မဂ္ဂေါ အတ္ထိ ပဋိပဒါ, ဧတာသံ ဒုက္ခတာနံ ပရိညာယာ”တိ၊
“There is.” …
“ကတမော ပနာဝုသော, မဂ္ဂေါ ကတမာ ပဋိပဒါ, ဧတာသံ ဒုက္ခတာနံ ပရိညာယာ”တိ? “အယမေဝ ခေါ, အာဝုသော, အရိယော အဋ္ဌင်္ဂိကော မဂ္ဂေါ, ဧတာသံ ဒုက္ခတာနံ ပရိညာယ, သေယျထိဒံ—သမ္မာဒိဋ္ဌိ …ပေ… သမ္မာသမာဓိ၊ အယံ ခေါ, အာဝုသော, မဂ္ဂေါ အယံ ပဋိပဒါ, ဧတာသံ ဒုက္ခတာနံ ပရိညာယာ”တိ၊ “ဘဒ္ဒကော, အာဝုသော, မဂ္ဂေါ ဘဒ္ဒိကာ ပဋိပဒါ, ဧတာသံ ဒုက္ခတာနံ ပရိညာယ၊ အလဉ္စ ပနာဝုသော သာရိပုတ္တ, အပ္ပမာဒါယာ”တိ၊
