A Question About Defilements
“‘အာသဝေါ, အာသဝေါ'တိ, အာဝုသော သာရိပုတ္တ, ဝုစ္စတိ၊ ကတမော နု ခေါ, အာဝုသော, အာသဝေါ”တိ?
“Friend Sāriputta, they speak of this thing called ‘defilement’. What is defilement?”
“တယော မေ, အာဝုသော, အာသဝါ၊ ကာမာသဝေါ, ဘဝါသဝေါ, အဝိဇ္ဇာသဝေါ—ဣမေ ခေါ, အာဝုသော, တယော အာသဝါ”တိ၊
“Friend, there are three defilements. The defilements of sensuality, desire to be reborn, and ignorance. These are the three defilements.”
“အတ္ထိ ပနာဝုသော, မဂ္ဂေါ အတ္ထိ ပဋိပဒါ ဧတေသံ အာသဝါနံ ပဟာနာယာ”တိ?
“But, friend, is there a path and a practice for completely understanding these three defilements?”
“အတ္ထိ ခေါ, အာဝုသော, မဂ္ဂေါ အတ္ထိ ပဋိပဒါ ဧတေသံ အာသဝါနံ ပဟာနာယာ”တိ၊
“There is.” …
“ကတမော ပနာဝုသော, မဂ္ဂေါ ကတမာ ပဋိပဒါ ဧတေသံ အာသဝါနံ ပဟာနာယာ”တိ? “အယမေဝ ခေါ, အာဝုသော, အရိယော အဋ္ဌင်္ဂိကော မဂ္ဂေါ ဧတေသံ အာသဝါနံ ပဟာနာယ, သေယျထိဒံ—သမ္မာဒိဋ္ဌိ …ပေ… သမ္မာသမာဓိ၊ အယံ ခေါ, အာဝုသော, မဂ္ဂေါ အယံ ပဋိပဒါ, ဧတေသံ အာသဝါနံ ပဟာနာယာ”တိ၊ “ဘဒ္ဒကော, အာဝုသော, မဂ္ဂေါ ဘဒ္ဒိကာ ပဋိပဒါ, ဧတေသံ အာသဝါနံ ပဟာနာယ၊ အလဉ္စ ပနာဝုသော သာရိပုတ္တ, အပ္ပမာဒါယာ”တိ၊
