អានន្ទសុត្ត
With Ānanda
សាវត្ថិនិទានំ។
At Sāvatthī.
អថ ខោ អាយស្មា អានន្ទោ …បេ… ឯកមន្តំ និសិន្នំ ខោ អាយស្មន្តំ អានន្ទំ ភគវា ឯតទវោច:
And then Venerable Ānanda … sitting to one side, the Buddha said to him:
“សចេ តំ, អានន្ទ, ឯវំ បុច្ឆេយ្យុំ: ‘កតមេសំ, អាវុសោ អានន្ទ, ធម្មានំ ឧប្បាទោ បញ្ញាយតិ, វយោ បញ្ញាយតិ, ឋិតស្ស អញ្ញថត្តំ បញ្ញាយតីៜតិ? ឯវំ បុដ្ឋោ ត្វំ, អានន្ទ, កិន្តិ ព្យាករេយ្យាសី”តិ?
“Ānanda, suppose they were to ask you: ‘Friend Ānanda, what are the things for which arising is evident, vanishing is evident, and change while persisting is evident?’ How would you answer?”
“សចេ មំ, ភន្តេ, ឯវំ បុច្ឆេយ្យុំ: ‘កតមេសំ, អាវុសោ អានន្ទ, ធម្មានំ ឧប្បាទោ បញ្ញាយតិ, វយោ បញ្ញាយតិ, ឋិតស្ស អញ្ញថត្តំ បញ្ញាយតីៜតិ? ឯវំ បុដ្ឋោហំ, ភន្តេ, ឯវំ ព្យាករេយ្យំ:
“Sir, suppose they were to ask me: ‘What are the things for which arising is evident, vanishing is evident, and change while persisting is evident?’ I’d answer like this:
‘រូបស្ស ខោ, អាវុសោ, ឧប្បាទោ បញ្ញាយតិ, វយោ បញ្ញាយតិ, ឋិតស្ស អញ្ញថត្តំ បញ្ញាយតិ។ វេទនាយ … សញ្ញាយ … សង្ខារានំ … វិញ្ញាណស្ស ឧប្បាទោ បញ្ញាយតិ, វយោ បញ្ញាយតិ, ឋិតស្ស អញ្ញថត្តំ បញ្ញាយតិ។ ឥមេសំ ខោ, អាវុសោ, ធម្មានំ ឧប្បាទោ បញ្ញាយតិ, វយោ បញ្ញាយតិ, ឋិតស្ស អញ្ញថត្តំ បញ្ញាយតីៜតិ។
‘Friend, the arising of form is evident, its vanishing is evident, and change while persisting is evident. The arising of feeling … perception … functioning patterns … consciousness is evident, its vanishing is evident, and change while persisting is evident. These are the things for which arising is evident, vanishing is evident, and change while persisting is evident.’
ឯវំ បុដ្ឋោហំ, ភន្តេ, ឯវំ ព្យាករេយ្យន៑”តិ។
That’s how I’d answer such a question.”
“សាធុ សាធុ, អានន្ទ។ រូបស្ស ខោ, អានន្ទ, ឧប្បាទោ បញ្ញាយតិ, វយោ បញ្ញាយតិ, ឋិតស្ស អញ្ញថត្តំ បញ្ញាយតិ។ វេទនាយ … សញ្ញាយ … សង្ខារានំ … វិញ្ញាណស្ស ឧប្បាទោ បញ្ញាយតិ, វយោ បញ្ញាយតិ, ឋិតស្ស អញ្ញថត្តំ បញ្ញាយតិ។ ឥមេសំ ខោ, អានន្ទ, ធម្មានំ ឧប្បាទោ បញ្ញាយតិ, វយោ បញ្ញាយតិ, ឋិតស្ស អញ្ញថត្តំ បញ្ញាយតីតិ។
“Good, good, Ānanda. The arising of form is evident, its vanishing is evident, and change while persisting is evident. The arising of feeling … perception … functioning patterns … consciousness is evident, its vanishing is evident, and change while persisting is evident. These are the things for which arising is evident, vanishing is evident, and change while persisting is evident.
ឯវំ បុដ្ឋោ ត្វំ, អានន្ទ, ឯវំ ព្យាករេយ្យាសី”តិ។
