Chapter Three
អក្កោធសុត្ត
Don’t Be Angry
ឯវំ មេ សុតំ—ឯកំ សមយំ ភគវា សាវត្ថិយំ វិហរតិ ជេតវនេ អនាថបិណ្ឌិកស្ស អារាមេ។
So I have heard. At one time the Buddha was staying near Sāvatthī in Jeta’s Grove, Anāthapiṇḍika’s monastery.
តត្រ ខោ ភគវា ភិក្ខូ …បេ… ភគវា ឯតទវោច:
There the Buddha addressed the bhikkhus:
“ភូតបុព្ពំ, ភិក្ខវេ, សក្កោ ទេវានមិន្ទោ សុធម្មាយំ សភាយំ ទេវេ តាវតិំសេ អនុនយមានោ តាយំ វេលាយំ ឥមំ គាថំ អភាសិ:
“Once upon a time, bhikkhus, Sakka, lord of gods, guiding the gods of the Thirty-Three, recited this verse:
‘មា វោ កោធោ អជ្ឈភវិ, មា ច កុជ្ឈិត្ថ កុជ្ឈតំ; អក្កោធោ អវិហិំសា ច, អរិយេសុ ច បដិបទា; អថ បាបជនំ កោធោ, បព្ពតោវាភិមទ្ទតីៜ”តិ។
‘Don’t let anger be your master, don’t get angry at angry people. Kindness and harmlessness are always present in the noble ones. For anger crushes bad people like a mountain.’”
តតិយោ វគ្គោ។
តស្សុទ្ទានំ
ឆេត្វា ទុព្ពណ្ណិយ មាយា, អច្ចយេន អកោធនោ; ទេសិតំ ពុទ្ធសេដ្ឋេន, ឥទញ្ហិ សក្កបញ្ចកន្តិ។
សក្កសំយុត្តំ សមត្តំ។
