“What’s the cause, friend, what’s the reason why this has not been declared by the Buddha?”
“រូបេ ខោ, អាវុសោ, អវិគតរាគស្ស អវិគតច្ឆន្ទស្ស អវិគតបេមស្ស អវិគតបិបាសស្ស អវិគតបរិឡាហស្ស អវិគតតណ្ហស្ស ‘ហោតិ តថាគតោ បរំ មរណាៜតិបិស្ស ហោតិ …បេ… ‘នេវ ហោតិ ន ន ហោតិ តថាគតោ បរំ មរណាៜតិបិស្ស ហោតិ។ វេទនាយ …បេ… សញ្ញាយ …បេ… សង្ខារេសុ …បេ… វិញ្ញាណេ អវិគតរាគស្ស អវិគតច្ឆន្ទស្ស អវិគតបេមស្ស អវិគតបិបាសស្ស អវិគតបរិឡាហស្ស អវិគតតណ្ហស្ស ‘ហោតិ តថាគតោ បរំ មរណាៜតិបិស្ស ហោតិ …បេ… ‘នេវ ហោតិ ន ន ហោតិ តថាគតោ បរំ មរណាៜតិបិស្ស ហោតិ។
“Friend, if you’re not rid of greed, desire, fondness, thirst, passion, and craving for form … feeling … perception … functioning patterns … consciousness, you think ‘a Realized One still exists after death’ … ‘a Realized One neither still exists nor no longer exists after death.’
រូបេ ច ខោ, អាវុសោ, វិគតរាគស្ស …បេ… វេទនាយ …បេ… សញ្ញាយ …បេ… សង្ខារេសុ …បេ… វិញ្ញាណេ វិគតរាគស្ស វិគតច្ឆន្ទស្ស វិគតបេមស្ស វិគតបិបាសស្ស វិគតបរិឡាហស្ស វិគតតណ្ហស្ស ‘ហោតិ តថាគតោ បរំ មរណាៜតិបិស្ស ន ហោតិ …បេ… ‘នេវ ហោតិ ន ន ហោតិ តថាគតោ បរំ មរណាៜតិបិស្ស ន ហោតិ។
If you are rid of greed for form … feeling … perception … functioning patterns … consciousness, you don’t think ‘a Realized One still exists after death’ … ‘a Realized One neither still exists nor no longer exists after death.’
អយំ ខោ, អាវុសោ, ហេតុ, អយំ បច្ចយោ, យេនេតំ អព្យាកតំ ភគវតា”តិ។
This is the cause, this is the reason why this has not been declared by the Buddha.”
