Hell
“စတူဟိ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဓမ္မေဟိ သမန္နာဂတော ယထာဘတံ နိက္ခိတ္တော ဧဝံ နိရယေ၊ ကတမေဟိ စတူဟိ? ပါဏာတိပါတီ ဟောတိ, အဒိန္နာဒါယီ ဟောတိ, ကာမေသုမိစ္ဆာစာရီ ဟောတိ, မုသာဝါဒီ ဟောတိ—ဣမေဟိ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, စတူဟိ ဓမ္မေဟိ သမန္နာဂတော ယထာဘတံ နိက္ခိတ္တော ဧဝံ နိရယေတိ၊
“Bhikkhus, someone with four qualities is cast down to hell. What four? They kill living creatures, steal, commit sexual misconduct, and lie. Someone with these four qualities is cast down to hell.
ပါဏာတိပါတော အဒိန္နာဒါနံ, မုသာဝါဒေါ စ ဝုစ္စတိ; ပရဒါရဂမနဉ္စာပိ, နပ္ပသံသန္တိ ပဏ္ဍိတာ”တိ၊
Killing, stealing, telling lies, and visiting others’ wives: astute people don’t praise these things.”
