Practice
សាវត្ថិយំ វិហរតិ …បេ…
At Sāvatthī.
“មិច្ឆាបដិបទញ្ច វោ, ភិក្ខវេ, ទេសេស្សាមិ សម្មាបដិបទញ្ច។ តំ សុណាថ, សាធុកំ មនសិ ករោថ, ភាសិស្សាមី”តិ។
“Bhikkhus, I will teach you the wrong practice and the right practice. Listen and apply your mind well, I will speak.”
“ឯវំ, ភន្តេ”តិ ខោ តេ ភិក្ខូ ភគវតោ បច្ចស្សោសុំ។ ភគវា ឯតទវោច:
“Yes, sir,” they replied. The Buddha said this:
“កតមា ច, ភិក្ខវេ, មិច្ឆាបដិបទា? អវិជ្ជាបច្ចយា, ភិក្ខវេ, សង្ខារា;
“And what’s the wrong practice? Ignorance is a condition for functioning patterns.
សង្ខារបច្ចយា វិញ្ញាណំ …បេ… ឯវមេតស្ស កេវលស្ស ទុក្ខក្ខន្ធស្ស សមុទយោ ហោតិ។ អយំ វុច្ចតិ, ភិក្ខវេ, មិច្ឆាបដិបទា។
Functioning patterns are a condition for consciousness. … That is how this entire mass of suffering originates. This is called the wrong practice.
កតមា ច, ភិក្ខវេ, សម្មាបដិបទា? អវិជ្ជាយ ត្វេវ អសេសវិរាគនិរោធា សង្ខារនិរោធោ; សង្ខារនិរោធា វិញ្ញាណនិរោធោ …បេ… ឯវមេតស្ស កេវលស្ស ទុក្ខក្ខន្ធស្ស និរោធោ ហោតិ។ អយំ វុច្ចតិ, ភិក្ខវេ, សម្មាបដិបទា”តិ។
And what’s the right practice? When ignorance fades away and ceases with nothing left over, functioning patterns cease. When functioning patterns cease, consciousness ceases. … That is how this entire mass of suffering ceases. This is called the right practice.”
