“စတူဟိ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဓမ္မေဟိ သမန္နာဂတော ဘိက္ခု အပဏ္ဏကပ္ပဋိပဒံ ပဋိပန္နော ဟောတိ, ယောနိ စဿ အာရဒ္ဓါ ဟောတိ အာသဝါနံ ခယာယ၊ ကတမေဟိ စတူဟိ? ဣဓ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဘိက္ခု သီလဝါ ဟောတိ, ဗဟုဿုတော ဟောတိ, အာရဒ္ဓဝီရိယော ဟောတိ, ပညဝါ ဟောတိ၊ ဣမေဟိ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, စတူဟိ ဓမ္မေဟိ သမန္နာဂတော ဘိက္ခု အပဏ္ဏကပ္ပဋိပဒံ ပဋိပန္နော ဟောတိ, ယောနိ စဿ အာရဒ္ဓါ ဟောတိ အာသဝါနံ ခယာယာ”တိ၊
“Bhikkhus, when a bhikkhu has four things their practice is guaranteed, and they have laid the groundwork for ending the defilements. What four? It’s when a bhikkhu is ethical, learned, energetic, and wise. When a bhikkhu has these four things their practice is guaranteed, and they have laid the groundwork for ending the defilements.”
