ဗလီဗဒ္ဒသုတ္တ
Oxen
“စတ္တာရောမေ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဗလီဗဒ္ဒါ၊ ကတမေ စတ္တာရော?
“Bhikkhus, there are these four kinds of oxen. What four?
သဂဝစဏ္ဍော နော ပရဂဝစဏ္ဍော,
One hostile to its own herd, not others;
ပရဂဝစဏ္ဍော နော သဂဝစဏ္ဍော,
one hostile to other herds, not its own;
သဂဝစဏ္ဍော စ ပရဂဝစဏ္ဍော စ,
one hostile to both its own herd and others; and
နေဝ သဂဝစဏ္ဍော နော ပရဂဝစဏ္ဍော—
one hostile to neither its own herd nor others.
ဣမေ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, စတ္တာရော ဗလီဗဒ္ဒါ၊ ဧဝမေဝံ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, စတ္တာရော ဗလီဗဒ္ဒူပမာ ပုဂ္ဂလာ သန္တော သံဝိဇ္ဇမာနာ လောကသ္မိံ၊ ကတမေ စတ္တာရော?
These are the four kinds of oxen. In the same way, these four people similar to oxen are found in the world. What four?
သဂဝစဏ္ဍော နော ပရဂဝစဏ္ဍော,
One hostile to their own herd, not others;
ပရဂဝစဏ္ဍော နော သဂဝစဏ္ဍော,
one hostile to other herds, not their own;
သဂဝစဏ္ဍော စ ပရဂဝစဏ္ဍော စ,
one hostile to both their own herd and others; and
နေဝ သဂဝစဏ္ဍော နော ပရဂဝစဏ္ဍော၊
one hostile to neither their own herd nor others.
ကထဉ္စ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ပုဂ္ဂလော သဂဝစဏ္ဍော ဟောတိ, နော ပရဂဝစဏ္ဍော? ဣဓ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဧကစ္စော ပုဂ္ဂလော သကပရိသံ ဥဗ္ဗေဇေတာ ဟောတိ, နော ပရပရိသံ၊ ဧဝံ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ပုဂ္ဂလော သဂဝစဏ္ဍော ဟောတိ, နော ပရဂဝစဏ္ဍော၊ သေယျထာပိ သော, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဗလီဗဒ္ဒေါ သဂဝစဏ္ဍော, နော ပရဂဝစဏ္ဍော; တထူပမာဟံ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဣမံ ပုဂ္ဂလံ ဝဒါမိ၊
And how is a person hostile to their own herd, not others? It’s when a person intimidates their own followers, not the followers of others. That’s how a person is hostile to their own herd, not others. That person is like an ox that’s hostile to its own herd, not others.
ကထဉ္စ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ပုဂ္ဂလော ပရဂဝစဏ္ဍော ဟောတိ, နော သဂဝစဏ္ဍော? ဣဓ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဧကစ္စော ပုဂ္ဂလော ပရပရိသံ ဥဗ္ဗေဇေတာ ဟောတိ, နော သကပရိသံ၊ ဧဝံ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ပုဂ္ဂလော ပရဂဝစဏ္ဍော ဟောတိ, နော သဂဝစဏ္ဍော၊ သေယျထာပိ သော, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဗလီဗဒ္ဒေါ ပရဂဝစဏ္ဍော, နော သဂဝစဏ္ဍော; တထူပမာဟံ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဣမံ ပုဂ္ဂလံ ဝဒါမိ၊
And how is a person hostile to other herds, not their own? It’s when a person intimidates the followers of others, not their own. …
ကထဉ္စ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ပုဂ္ဂလော သဂဝစဏ္ဍော စ ဟောတိ ပရဂဝစဏ္ဍော စ? ဣဓ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဧကစ္စော ပုဂ္ဂလော သကပရိသံ ဥဗ္ဗေဇေတာ ဟောတိ ပရပရိသဉ္စ၊ ဧဝံ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ပုဂ္ဂလော သဂဝစဏ္ဍော စ ဟောတိ ပရဂဝစဏ္ဍော စ၊ သေယျထာပိ သော, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဗလီဗဒ္ဒေါ သဂဝစဏ္ဍော စ ပရဂဝစဏ္ဍော စ; တထူပမာဟံ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဣမံ ပုဂ္ဂလံ ဝဒါမိ၊

And how is a person hostile to neither their own herd nor others? It’s when a person doesn’t intimidate their own followers or the followers of others.
ဣမေ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, စတ္တာရော ဗလီဗဒ္ဒူပမာ ပုဂ္ဂလာ သန္တော သံဝိဇ္ဇမာနာ လောကသ္မိန်”တိ၊
These four people similar to oxen are found in the world.”
