สงฺขตลกฺขณสุตฺต
Characteristics of the Conditioned
“ตีณิมานิ, ภิกฺขเว, สงฺขตสฺส สงฺขตลกฺขณานิฯ กตมานิ ตีณิ? อุปฺปาโท ปญฺญายติ, วโย ปญฺญายติ, ฐิตสฺส อญฺญถตฺตํ ปญฺญายติฯ อิมานิ โข, ภิกฺขเว, ตีณิ สงฺขตสฺส สงฺขตลกฺขณานี”ติฯ
“Bhikkhus, conditioned phenomena have these three characteristics. What three? Arising is evident, vanishing is evident, and change while persisting is evident. These are the three characteristics of conditioned phenomena.”

Characteristics of the Unconditioned
“ตีณิมานิ, ภิกฺขเว, อสงฺขตสฺส อสงฺขตลกฺขณานิฯ กตมานิ ตีณิ? น อุปฺปาโท ปญฺญายติ, น วโย ปญฺญายติ, น ฐิตสฺส อญฺญถตฺตํ ปญฺญายติฯ อิมานิ โข, ภิกฺขเว, ตีณิ อสงฺขตสฺส อสงฺขตลกฺขณานี”ติฯ
“Unconditioned phenomena have these three characteristics. What three? No arising is evident, no vanishing is evident, and no change while persisting is evident. These are the three characteristics of unconditioned phenomena.”
