อตฺถวสสุตฺต
Good Reasons
“ตโย, ภิกฺขเว, อตฺถวเส สมฺปสฺสมาเนน อลเมว ปเรสํ ธมฺมํ เทเสตุํฯ กตเม ตโย? โย ธมฺมํ เทเสติ โส อตฺถปฺปฏิสํเวที จ โหติ ธมฺมปฺปฏิสํเวที จฯ โย ธมฺมํ สุณาติ โส อตฺถปฺปฏิสํเวที จ โหติ ธมฺมปฺปฏิสํเวที จฯ โย เจว ธมฺมํ เทเสติ โย จ ธมฺมํ สุณาติ อุโภ อตฺถปฺปฏิสํเวทิโน จ โหนฺติ ธมฺมปฺปฏิสํเวทิโน จฯ
“Bhikkhus, taking three reasons into consideration provides quite enough motivation to teach Dhamma to another. What three? When the teacher feels deeply the meaning and the fundamental truth of the teaching. When the audience feels deeply the meaning and the fundamental truth of the teaching. When both the teacher and the audience feel deeply the meaning and the fundamental truth of the teaching.
อิเม โข, ภิกฺขเว, ตโย อตฺถวเส สมฺปสฺสมาเนน อลเมว ปเรสํ ธมฺมํ เทเสตุนฺ”ติฯ
Taking these three reasons into consideration provides quite enough motivation to teach Dhamma to another.”
