တတြ ခေါ အာယသ္မာ သာရိပုတ္တော ဘိက္ခူ အာမန္တေသိ: “အာဝုသော ဘိက္ခဝေ”တိ၊
There Venerable Sāriputta addressed the bhikkhus: “Friends, bhikkhus!”
“အာဝုသော”တိ ခေါ တေ ဘိက္ခူ အာယသ္မတော သာရိပုတ္တဿ ပစ္စဿောသုံ၊ အာယသ္မာ သာရိပုတ္တော ဧတဒဝေါစ:
“Friend,” they replied. Sāriputta said this:
“ပဉ္စဟာဝုသော, ဓမ္မေဟိ သမန္နာဂတော ဘိက္ခု အလံ သာကစ္ဆော သဗြဟ္မစာရီနံ၊ ကတမေဟိ ပဉ္စဟိ?
“A bhikkhu with five qualities is fit to hold a discussion with their spiritual companions. What five?
ဣဓာဝုသော, ဘိက္ခု အတ္တနာ စ သီလသမ္ပန္နော ဟောတိ, သီလသမ္ပဒါကထာယ စ အာဂတံ ပဉှံ ဗျာကတ္တာ ဟောတိ;
A bhikkhu is personally accomplished in ethics, and answers questions that come up when discussing accomplishment in ethics.
အတ္တနာ စ သမာဓိသမ္ပန္နော ဟောတိ, သမာဓိသမ္ပဒါကထာယ စ အာဂတံ ပဉှံ ဗျာကတ္တာ ဟောတိ;
