ကောဋ္ဌိကသုတ္တ

ဗာရာဏသိယံ ဝိဟရန္တိ ဣသိပတနေ မိဂဒါယေ၊ အထ ခေါ အာယသ္မာ သာရိပုတ္တော သာယနှသမယံ …ပေ… ဧကမန္တံ နိသိန္နော ခေါ အာယသ္မာ သာရိပုတ္တော အာယသ္မန္တံ မဟာကောဋ္ဌိကံ ဧတဒဝေါစ:
At Varanasi. Sāriputta said to Mahākoṭṭhita:
“‘အဝိဇ္ဇာ, အဝိဇ္ဇာ'တိ, အာဝုသော ကောဋ္ဌိက, ဝုစ္စတိ၊ ကတမာ နု ခေါ, အာဝုသော, အဝိဇ္ဇာ; ကိတ္တာဝတာ စ အဝိဇ္ဇာဂတော ဟောတီ”တိ?
“Friend Koṭṭhita, they speak of this thing called ‘ignorance’. What is ignorance? And how is an ignorant person defined?”
“ဣဓာဝုသော, အဿုတဝါ ပုထုဇ္ဇနော ရူပဿ အဿာဒဉ္စ အာဒီနဝဉ္စ နိဿရဏဉ္စ ယထာဘူတံ နပ္ပဇာနာတိ၊ ဝေဒနာယ …ပေ… သညာယ … သင်္ခါရာနံ … ဝိညာဏဿ အဿာဒဉ္စ အာဒီနဝဉ္စ နိဿရဏဉ္စ ယထာဘူတံ နပ္ပဇာနာတိ၊
“Friend, an unlearned ordinary person doesn’t truly understand the gratification, the drawback, and the escape when it comes to form, feeling, perception, functioning patterns, and consciousness.
အယံ ဝုစ္စတာဝုသော, အဝိဇ္ဇာ; ဧတ္တာဝတာ စ အဝိဇ္ဇာဂတော ဟောတီ”တိ၊
This is called ignorance. And this is how an ignorant person is defined.”
ဧဝံ ဝုတ္တေ, အာယသ္မာ သာရိပုတ္တော အာယသ္မန္တံ မဟာကောဋ္ဌိကံ ဧတဒဝေါစ:
When he said this, Venerable Sāriputta said to him:
“‘ဝိဇ္ဇာ, ဝိဇ္ဇာ'တိ, အာဝုသော ကောဋ္ဌိက, ဝုစ္စတိ၊ ကတမာ နု ခေါ, အာဝုသော, ဝိဇ္ဇာ; ကိတ္တာဝတာ စ ဝိဇ္ဇာဂတော ဟောတီ”တိ?
“Friend Koṭṭhita, they speak of this thing called ‘knowledge’. What is knowledge? And how is a knowledgeable person defined?”
“ဣဓာဝုသော, သုတဝါ အရိယသာဝကော ရူပဿ အဿာဒဉ္စ အာဒီနဝဉ္စ နိဿရဏဉ္စ ယထာဘူတံ ပဇာနာတိ၊ ဝေဒနာယ …ပေ… သညာယ … သင်္ခါရာနံ … ဝိညာဏဿ အဿာဒဉ္စ အာဒီနဝဉ္စ နိဿရဏဉ္စ ယထာဘူတံ ပဇာနာတိ၊
“Friend, a learned noble disciple truly understands the gratification, the drawback, and the escape when it comes to form, feeling, perception, functioning patterns, and consciousness.
အယံ ဝုစ္စတာဝုသော, ဝိဇ္ဇာ; ဧတ္တာဝတာ စ ဝိဇ္ဇာဂတော ဟောတီ”တိ၊
This is called knowledge. And this is how a knowledgeable person is defined.”
