“පඤ්චහි, භික්ඛවේ, ධම්මේහි සමන්නාගතෝ භික්ඛු යථාභතං නික්ඛිත්තෝ ඒවං නිරයේ. කතමේහි පඤ්චහි? ඉධ, භික්ඛවේ, භික්ඛු අස්සද්ධෝ හෝති, අහිරිකෝ හෝති, අනෝත්තප්පී හෝති, කුසීතෝ හෝති, දුප්පඤ්ඤෝ හෝති. ඉමේහි ඛෝ, භික්ඛවේ, පඤ්චහි ධම්මේහි සමන්නාගතෝ භික්ඛු යථාභතං නික්ඛිත්තෝ ඒවං නිරයේ.
“Bhikkhus, a bhikkhu with five qualities is cast down to hell. What five? It’s when a bhikkhu is faithless, shameless, imprudent, lazy, and witless. A bhikkhu with these five qualities is cast down to hell.
පඤ්චහි, භික්ඛවේ, ධම්මේහි සමන්නාගතෝ භික්ඛු යථාභතං නික්ඛිත්තෝ ඒවං සග්ගේ. කතමේහි පඤ්චහි? ඉධ, භික්ඛවේ, භික්ඛු සද්ධෝ හෝති, හිරීමා හෝති, ඕත්තප්පී හෝති, ආරද්ධවීරියෝ හෝති, පඤ්ඤවා හෝති. ඉමේහි ඛෝ, භික්ඛවේ, පඤ්චහි ධම්මේහි සමන්නාගතෝ භික්ඛු යථාභතං නික්ඛිත්තෝ ඒවං සග්ගේ”ති.
A bhikkhu with five qualities is raised up to heaven. What five? It’s when a bhikkhu is faithful, conscientious, prudent, energetic, and wise. A bhikkhu with these five qualities is raised up to heaven.”
