Worthy of a Monument
“จตฺตาโรเม, ภิกฺขเว, ถูปารหาฯ กตเม จตฺตาโร? ตถาคโต อรหํ สมฺมาสมฺพุทฺโธ ถูปารโห, ปจฺเจกพุทฺโธ ถูปารโห, ตถาคตสาวโก ถูปารโห, ราชา จกฺกวตฺตี ถูปารโห—อิเม โข, ภิกฺขเว, จตฺตาโร ถูปารหา”ติฯ
“Bhikkhus, these four are worthy of a monument. What four? A Realized One, a perfected one, a fully awakened Buddha; an independent Buddha; a disciple of a Realized One; and a wheel-turning monarch. These four are worthy of a monument.”
