សោណសុត្ត
With Soṇa
ឯកំ សមយំ ភគវា រាជគហេ វិហរតិ វេឡុវនេ កលន្ទកនិវាបេ។
At one time the Buddha was staying near Rājagaha, in the Bamboo Grove, the squirrels’ feeding ground.
អថ ខោ សោណោ គហបតិបុត្តោ យេន ភគវា តេនុបសង្កមិ; ឧបសង្កមិត្វា ភគវន្តំ អភិវាទេត្វា ឯកមន្តំ និសីទិ។ ឯកមន្តំ និសិន្នោ ខោ សោណោ គហបតិបុត្តោ ភគវន្តំ ឯតទវោច:
Then the householder Soṇa went up to the Buddha, bowed, sat down to one side, and said to him:
“កោ នុ ខោ, ភន្តេ, ហេតុ, កោ បច្ចយោ យេន ម៑ៜឥធេកច្ចេ សត្តា ទិដ្ឋេវ ធម្មេ នោ បរិនិព្ពាយន្តិ? កោ បន, ភន្តេ, ហេតុ, កោ បច្ចយោ យេន ម៑ៜឥធេកច្ចេ សត្តា ទិដ្ឋេវ ធម្មេ បរិនិព្ពាយន្តី”តិ?
“What is the cause, sir, what is the reason why some sentient beings aren’t fully extinguished in the present life? What is the cause, sir, what is the reason why some sentient beings are fully extinguished in the present life?” …
(យថា បុរិមសុត្តន្តំ, ឯវំ វិត្ថារេតព្ពំ។)
