នាឡន្ទសុត្ត
At Nāḷandā
ឯកំ សមយំ ភគវា នាឡន្ទាយំ វិហរតិ បាវារិកម្ពវនេ។
At one time the Buddha was staying near Nāḷandā in Pāvārika’s mango grove.
អថ ខោ, ឧបាលិ គហបតិ, យេន ភគវា តេនុបសង្កមិ …បេ… ឯកមន្តំ និសិន្នោ ខោ, ឧបាលិ គហបតិ, ភគវន្តំ ឯតទវោច: “កោ នុ ខោ, ភន្តេ, ហេតុ, កោ បច្ចយោ យេន ម៑ៜឥធេកច្ចេ សត្តា ទិដ្ឋេវ ធម្មេ នោ បរិនិព្ពាយន្តិ? កោ បន, ភន្តេ, ហេតុ, កោ បច្ចយោ យេន ម៑ៜឥធេកច្ចេ សត្តា ទិដ្ឋេវ ធម្មេ បរិនិព្ពាយន្តី”តិ?
Then the householder Upāli went up to the Buddha … and asked him, “What is the cause, sir, what is the reason why some sentient beings aren’t fully extinguished in the present life? What is the cause, sir, what is the reason why some sentient beings are fully extinguished in the present life?” …
(យថា បុរិមសុត្តន្តំ, ឯវំ វិត្ថារេតព្ពំ។)

“អយំ ខោ, គហបតិ, ហេតុ អយំ បច្ចយោ យេន ម៑ៜឥធេកច្ចេ សត្តា ទិដ្ឋេវ ធម្មេ បរិនិព្ពាយន្តី”តិ។
