“ฉยิเม, ภิกฺขเว, ธมฺมา เสขสฺส ภิกฺขุโน ปริหานาย สํวตฺตนฺติฯ กตเม ฉ? กมฺมารามตา, ภสฺสารามตา, นิทฺทารามตา, สงฺคณิการามตา, อินฺทฺริเยสุ อคุตฺตทฺวารตา, โภชเน อมตฺตญฺญุตา—อิเม โข, ภิกฺขเว, ฉ ธมฺมา เสขสฺส ภิกฺขุโน ปริหานาย สํวตฺตนฺติฯ
“These six things lead to the decline of a bhikkhu trainee. What six? They relish work, talk, sleep, and company. They don’t guard the sense doors, and they eat too much. These six things lead to the decline of a bhikkhu trainee.
ฉยิเม, ภิกฺขเว, ธมฺมา เสขสฺส ภิกฺขุโน อปริหานาย สํวตฺตนฺติฯ กตเม ฉ? น กมฺมารามตา, น ภสฺสารามตา, น นิทฺทารามตา, น สงฺคณิการามตา, อินฺทฺริเยสุ คุตฺตทฺวารตา, โภชเน มตฺตญฺญุตา—อิเม โข, ภิกฺขเว, ฉ ธมฺมา เสขสฺส ภิกฺขุโน อปริหานาย สํวตฺตนฺตี”ติฯ
