Not-Self With Its Cause
សាវត្ថិនិទានំ។
At Sāvatthī.
“រូបំ, ភិក្ខវេ, អនត្តា។ យោបិ ហេតុ យោបិ បច្ចយោ រូបស្ស ឧប្បាទាយ, សោបិ អនត្តា។ អនត្តសម្ភូតំ, ភិក្ខវេ, រូបំ កុតោ អត្តា ភវិស្សតិ។
“Bhikkhus, form is not-self. The cause and reason that gives rise to form is also not-self. Since form is produced by what is not-self, how could it be self?
វេទនា អនត្តា …
Feeling is not-self …
សញ្ញា អនត្តា …
Perception is not-self …
សង្ខារា អនត្តា …
Functioning patterns are not-self …
វិញ្ញាណំ អនត្តា។ យោបិ ហេតុ យោបិ បច្ចយោ វិញ្ញាណស្ស ឧប្បាទាយ, សោបិ អនត្តា។ អនត្តសម្ភូតំ, ភិក្ខវេ, វិញ្ញាណំ កុតោ អត្តា ភវិស្សតិ។
Consciousness is not-self. The cause and reason that gives rise to consciousness is also not-self. Since consciousness is produced by what is not-self, how could it be self?
ឯវំ បស្សំ …បេ… នាបរំ ឥត្ថត្តាយាៜតិ បជានាតី”តិ។
Seeing this … They understand: ‘… there is no return to any state of existence.’”
