ปฐมสมยวิมุตฺตสุตฺต
Temporarily Free (1st)
“ปญฺจิเม, ภิกฺขเว, ธมฺมา สมยวิมุตฺตสฺส ภิกฺขุโน ปริหานาย สํวตฺตนฺติฯ กตเม ปญฺจ? กมฺมารามตา, ภสฺสารามตา, นิทฺทารามตา, สงฺคณิการามตา, ยถาวิมุตฺตํ จิตฺตํ น ปจฺจเวกฺขติฯ อิเม โข, ภิกฺขเว, ปญฺจ ธมฺมา สมยวิมุตฺตสฺส ภิกฺขุโน ปริหานาย สํวตฺตนฺติฯ
“Bhikkhus, these five things lead to the decline of a bhikkhu who is temporarily free. What five? They relish work, talk, sleep, and company. And they don’t review the extent of their mind’s freedom. These five things lead to the decline of a bhikkhu who is temporarily free.
