นิรยสุตฺต
Hell
“ปญฺจหิ, ภิกฺขเว, ธมฺเมหิ สมนฺนาคโต ยถาภตํ นิกฺขิตฺโต เอวํ นิรเยฯ กตเมหิ ปญฺจหิ? ปาณาติปาตี โหติ, อทินฺนาทายี โหติ, กาเมสุมิจฺฉาจารี โหติ, มุสาวาที โหติ, สุราเมรยมชฺชปมาทฏฺฐายี โหติฯ อิเมหิ โข, ภิกฺขเว, ปญฺจหิ ธมฺเมหิ สมนฺนาคโต ยถาภตํ นิกฺขิตฺโต เอวํ นิรเยฯ
“Bhikkhus, someone with five qualities is cast down to hell. What five? They kill living creatures, steal, commit sexual misconduct, lie, and use alcoholic drinks that cause negligence. Someone with these five qualities is cast down to hell.
ปญฺจหิ, ภิกฺขเว, ธมฺเมหิ สมนฺนาคโต ยถาภตํ นิกฺขิตฺโต เอวํ สคฺเคฯ กตเมหิ ปญฺจหิ? ปาณาติปาตา ปฏิวิรโต โหติ, อทินฺนาทานา ปฏิวิรโต โหติ, กาเมสุมิจฺฉาจารา ปฏิวิรโต โหติ, มุสาวาทา ปฏิวิรโต โหติ, สุราเมรยมชฺชปมาทฏฺฐานา ปฏิวิรโต โหติฯ อิเมหิ โข, ภิกฺขเว, ปญฺจหิ ธมฺเมหิ สมนฺนาคโต ยถาภตํ นิกฺขิตฺโต เอวํ สคฺเค”ติฯ
Someone with five qualities is raised up to heaven What five? They don’t kill living creatures, steal, commit sexual misconduct, lie, or use alcoholic drinks that cause negligence. Someone with these five qualities is raised up to heaven.”
