បឋមកស្សបសុត្ត
With Kassapa (1st)
ឯវំ មេ សុតំ—ឯកំ សមយំ ភគវា សាវត្ថិយំ វិហរតិ ជេតវនេ អនាថបិណ្ឌិកស្ស អារាមេ។
So I have heard. At one time the Buddha was staying near Sāvatthī in Jeta’s Grove, Anāthapiṇḍika’s monastery.
អថ ខោ កស្សបោ ទេវបុត្តោ អភិក្កន្តាយ រត្តិយា អភិក្កន្តវណ្ណោ កេវលកប្បំ ជេតវនំ ឱភាសេត្វា យេន ភគវា តេនុបសង្កមិ; ឧបសង្កមិត្វា ភគវន្តំ អភិវាទេត្វា ឯកមន្តំ អដ្ឋាសិ។ ឯកមន្តំ ឋិតោ ខោ កស្សបោ ទេវបុត្តោ ភគវន្តំ ឯតទវោច: “ភិក្ខុំ ភគវា បកាសេសិ, នោ ច ភិក្ខុនោ អនុសាសន៑”តិ។
Then, late at night, the glorious god Kassapa, lighting up the entire Jeta’s Grove, went up to the Buddha, bowed, stood to one side, and said to him, “The Buddha has revealed the bhikkhu, but not his instructions to a bhikkhu.”
“តេន ហិ, កស្សប, តញ្ញេវេត្ថ បដិភាតូ”តិ។
“Well then, Kassapa, clarify this matter yourself.”
“សុភាសិតស្ស សិក្ខេថ, សមណូបាសនស្ស ច; ឯកាសនស្ស ច រហោ, ចិត្តវូបសមស្ស ចា”តិ។
“They should train in following good advice, in attending closely to ascetics, in sitting alone in hidden places, and in calming the mind.”
ឥទមវោច កស្សបោ ទេវបុត្តោ; សមនុញ្ញោ សត្ថា អហោសិ។ អថ ខោ កស្សបោ ទេវបុត្តោ “សមនុញ្ញោ មេ សត្ថា”តិ ភគវន្តំ អភិវាទេត្វា បទក្ខិណំ កត្វា តត្ថេវន្តរធាយីតិ។
That’s what the god Kassapa said, and the teacher approved. Then Kassapa, knowing that the teacher approved, bowed and respectfully circled the Buddha, keeping him on his right, before vanishing right there.
