Things That Can’t Be Done (1st)
“ฉยิมานิ, ภิกฺขเว, อภพฺพฏฺฐานานิฯ กตมานิ ฉ? อภพฺโพ ทิฏฺฐิสมฺปนฺโน ปุคฺคโล สตฺถริ อคารโว วิหริตุํ อปฺปติโสฺส, อภพฺโพ ทิฏฺฐิสมฺปนฺโน ปุคฺคโล ธมฺเม อคารโว วิหริตุํ อปฺปติโสฺส, อภพฺโพ ทิฏฺฐิสมฺปนฺโน ปุคฺคโล สงฺเฆ อคารโว วิหริตุํ อปฺปติโสฺส, อภพฺโพ ทิฏฺฐิสมฺปนฺโน ปุคฺคโล สิกฺขาย อคารโว วิหริตุํ อปฺปติโสฺส, อภพฺโพ ทิฏฺฐิสมฺปนฺโน ปุคฺคโล อนาคมนียํ วตฺถุํ ปจฺจาคนฺตุํ, อภพฺโพ ทิฏฺฐิสมฺปนฺโน ปุคฺคโล อฏฺฐมํ ภวํ นิพฺพตฺเตตุํฯ อิมานิ โข, ภิกฺขเว, ฉ อภพฺพฏฺฐานานี”ติฯ
“Bhikkhus, these six things can’t be done. What six? A person accomplished in view can’t live disrespectful and irreverent toward the Teacher, the teaching, the Saṅgha, or the training. They can’t establish their belief on unreliable grounds. And they can’t generate an eighth rebirth. These are the six things that can’t be done.”
