A Murderer
“ฉหิ, ภิกฺขเว, ธมฺเมหิ สมนฺนาคโต สุณนฺโตปิ สทฺธมฺมํ อภพฺโพ นิยามํ โอกฺกมิตุํ กุสเลสุ ธมฺเมสุ สมฺมตฺตํฯ กตเมหิ ฉหิ? มาตา ชีวิตา โวโรปิตา โหติ, ปิตา ชีวิตา โวโรปิโต โหติ, อรหํ ชีวิตา โวโรปิโต โหติ, ตถาคตสฺส ทุฏฺเฐน จิตฺเตน โลหิตํ อุปฺปาทิตํ โหติ, สงฺโฆ ภินฺโน โหติ, ทุปฺปญฺโญ โหติ ชโฬ เอฬมูโคฯ อิเมหิ โข, ภิกฺขเว, ฉหิ ธมฺเมหิ สมนฺนาคโต สุณนฺโตปิ สทฺธมฺมํ อภพฺโพ นิยามํ โอกฺกมิตุํ กุสเลสุ ธมฺเมสุ สมฺมตฺตํฯ
“Bhikkhus, someone with six qualities is unable to enter the sure path with regards to skillful qualities even when listening to the true teaching. What six? They murder their mother or father or a perfected one. They maliciously shed the blood of a Realized One. They cause a schism in the Saṅgha. They’re witless, dull, and stupid. Someone with these six qualities is unable to enter the sure path with regards to skillful qualities, even when listening to the true teaching.
ฉหิ, ภิกฺขเว, ธมฺเมหิ สมนฺนาคโต สุณนฺโต สทฺธมฺมํ ภพฺโพ นิยามํ โอกฺกมิตุํ กุสเลสุ ธมฺเมสุ สมฺมตฺตํฯ กตเมหิ ฉหิ? น มาตา ชีวิตา โวโรปิตา โหติ, น ปิตา ชีวิตา โวโรปิโต โหติ, น อรหํ ชีวิตา โวโรปิโต โหติ, น ตถาคตสฺส ทุฏฺเฐน จิตฺเตน โลหิตํ อุปฺปาทิตํ โหติ, น สงฺโฆ ภินฺโน โหติ, ปญฺญวา โหติ อชโฬ อเนฬมูโคฯ อิเมหิ โข, ภิกฺขเว, ฉหิ ธมฺเมหิ สมนฺนาคโต สุณนฺโต สทฺธมฺมํ ภพฺโพ นิยามํ โอกฺกมิตุํ กุสเลสุ ธมฺเมสุ สมฺมตฺตนฺ”ติฯ
Someone with six qualities is able to enter the sure path with regards to skillful qualities when listening to the true teaching. What six? Someone with these six qualities is able to enter the sure path with regards to skillful qualities when listening to the true teaching.”
