“ฉหิ, ภิกฺขเว, ธมฺเมหิ สมนฺนาคโต สุณนฺโตปิ สทฺธมฺมํ อภพฺโพ นิยามํ โอกฺกมิตุํ กุสเลสุ ธมฺเมสุ สมฺมตฺตํฯ กตเมหิ ฉหิ? กมฺมาวรณตาย สมนฺนาคโต โหติ, กิเลสาวรณตาย สมนฺนาคโต โหติ, วิปากาวรณตาย สมนฺนาคโต โหติ, อสฺสทฺโธ จ โหติ, อจฺฉนฺทิโก จ, ทุปฺปญฺโญ จฯ อิเมหิ โข, ภิกฺขเว, ฉหิ ธมฺเมหิ สมนฺนาคโต สุณนฺโตปิ สทฺธมฺมํ อภพฺโพ นิยามํ โอกฺกมิตุํ กุสเลสุ ธมฺเมสุ สมฺมตฺตํฯ
“Bhikkhus, someone with six qualities is unable to enter the sure path with regards to skillful qualities even when listening to the true teaching. What six? They’re obstructed by deeds, defilements, or results. And they’re faithless, unenthusiastic, and witless. Someone with these six qualities is unable to enter the sure path with regards to skillful qualities, even when listening to the true teaching.
ฉหิ, ภิกฺขเว, ธมฺเมหิ สมนฺนาคโต สุณนฺโต สทฺธมฺมํ ภพฺโพ นิยามํ โอกฺกมิตุํ กุสเลสุ ธมฺเมสุ สมฺมตฺตํฯ กตเมหิ ฉหิ? น กมฺมาวรณตาย สมนฺนาคโต โหติ, น กิเลสาวรณตาย สมนฺนาคโต โหติ, น วิปากาวรณตาย สมนฺนาคโต โหติ, สทฺโธ จ โหติ, ฉนฺทิโก จ, ปญฺญวา จฯ อิเมหิ โข, ภิกฺขเว, ฉหิ ธมฺเมหิ สมนฺนาคโต สุณนฺโต สทฺธมฺมํ ภพฺโพ นิยามํ โอกฺกมิตุํ กุสเลสุ ธมฺเมสุ สมฺมตฺตนฺ”ติฯ
Someone with six qualities is able to enter the sure path with regards to skillful qualities when listening to the true teaching. What six? They’re not obstructed by deeds, defilements, or results. And they’re faithful, enthusiastic, and wise. Someone with these six qualities is able to enter the sure path with regards to skillful qualities when listening to the true teaching.”
