“สตฺติมานิ, ภิกฺขเว, สํโยชนานิฯ กตมานิ สตฺต? อนุนยสํโยชนํ, ปฏิฆสํโยชนํ, ทิฏฺฐิสํโยชนํ, วิจิกิจฺฉาสํโยชนํ, มานสํโยชนํ, อิสฺสาสํโยชนํ, มจฺฉริยสํโยชนํฯ อิมานิ โข, ภิกฺขเว, สตฺต สํโยชนานี”ติฯ
“Bhikkhus, there are these seven fetters. What seven? The fetters of attraction, repulsion, views, doubt, conceit, jealousy, and stinginess. These are the seven fetters.”

ธนวคฺโค ปฐโมฯ
ตสฺสุทฺทานํ
เทฺว ปิยานิ พลํ ธนํ, สงฺขิตฺตญฺเจว วิตฺถตํ; อุคฺคํ สํโยชนญฺเจว, ปหานํ มจฺฉริเยน จาติฯ
