A Jackal (2nd)
សាវត្ថិយំ វិហរតិ។
At Sāvatthī.
“អស្សុត្ថ នោ តុម្ហេ, ភិក្ខវេ, រត្តិយា បច្ចូសសមយំ ជរសិង្គាលស្ស វស្សមានស្សា”តិ?
“Bhikkhus, did you hear an old jackal howling at the crack of dawn?”
“ឯវំ, ភន្តេ”។
“Yes, sir.”
“សិយា ខោ, ភិក្ខវេ, តស្មិំ ជរសិង្គាលេ យា កាចិ កតញ្ញុតា កតវេទិតា, ន ត្វេវ ឥធេកច្ចេ សក្យបុត្តិយបដិញ្ញេ សិយា យា កាចិ កតញ្ញុតា កតវេទិតា។
“There might be some gratitude and thankfulness in that old jackal, but there is none in a certain person here who claims to be a follower of the Sakyan son.
តស្មាតិហ, ភិក្ខវេ, ឯវំ សិក្ខិតព្ពំ: ‘កតញ្ញុនោ ភវិស្សាម កតវេទិនោ; ន ច នោ អម្ហេសុ អប្បកម្បិ កតំ នស្សិស្សតីៜតិ។ ឯវញ្ហិ វោ, ភិក្ខវេ, សិក្ខិតព្ពន៑”តិ។
So you should train like this: ‘We will be grateful and thankful. We won’t forget even a small thing done for us.’ That’s how you should train.”
ទ្វាទសមំ។
ឱបម្មវគ្គោ បឋមោ។
តស្សុទ្ទានំ
កូដំ នខសិខំ កុលំ, ឱក្ខា សត្តិ ធនុគ្គហោ; អាណិ កលិង្គរោ នាគោ, ពិឡារោ ទ្វេ សិង្គាលកាតិ។
