“ปญฺจหิ, ภิกฺขเว, ธมฺเมหิ สมนฺนาคโต อาชีวโก ยถาภตํ นิกฺขิตฺโต เอวํ นิรเยฯ กตเมหิ ปญฺจหิ? ปาณาติปาตี โหติ, อทินฺนาทายี โหติ, อพฺรหฺมจารี โหติ, มุสาวาที โหติ, สุราเมรยมชฺชปมาทฏฺฐายี โหติฯ อิเมหิ โข, ภิกฺขเว, ปญฺจหิ ธมฺเมหิ สมนฺนาคโต อาชีวโก ยถาภตํ นิกฺขิตฺโต เอวํ นิรเย”ติฯ
“Bhikkhus, an Ājīvaka ascetic with five qualities is cast down to hell. What five? They kill living creatures, steal, have sex, lie, and use alcoholic drinks that cause negligence. An Ājīvaka ascetic with these five qualities is cast down to hell.”
