“පඤ්චහි, භික්ඛවේ, ධම්මේහි සමන්නාගතෝ ථේරෝ භික්ඛු සබ්රහ්මචාරීනං අප්පියෝ ච හෝති අමනාපෝ ච අගරු ච අභාවනීයෝ ච. කතමේහි පඤ්චහි? අවීතරාගෝ හෝති, අවීතදෝසෝ හෝති, අවීතමෝහෝ හෝති, මක්ඛී ච, පළාසී ච—ඉමේහි ඛෝ, භික්ඛවේ, පඤ්චහි ධම්මේහි සමන්නාගතෝ ථේරෝ භික්ඛු සබ්රහ්මචාරීනං අප්පියෝ ච හෝති අමනාපෝ ච අගරු ච අභාවනීයෝ ච.
“Bhikkhus, a senior bhikkhu with five qualities is unlikable and unlovable to their spiritual companions, not respected or admired. What five? They’re not free of greed, hate, and delusion; they are offensive and contemptuous. A senior bhikkhu with these five qualities is unlikable and unlovable to their spiritual companions, not respected or admired.
පඤ්චහි, භික්ඛවේ, ධම්මේහි සමන්නාගතෝ ථේරෝ භික්ඛු සබ්රහ්මචාරීනං පියෝ ච හෝති මනාපෝ ච ගරු ච භාවනීයෝ ච. කතමේහි පඤ්චහි? වීතරාගෝ හෝති, වීතදෝසෝ හෝති, වීතමෝහෝ හෝති, අමක්ඛී ච, අපළාසී ච—ඉමේහි ඛෝ, භික්ඛවේ, පඤ්චහි ධම්මේහි සමන්නාගතෝ ථේරෝ භික්ඛු සබ්රහ්මචාරීනං පියෝ ච හෝති මනාපෝ ච ගරු ච භාවනීයෝ චා”ති.
A senior bhikkhu with five qualities is dear and beloved to their spiritual companions, respected and admired. What five?
