សាវត្ថិនិទានំ។
At Sāvatthī.
“ចតស្សោ ឥមា, ភិក្ខវេ, សុបណ្ណយោនិយោ។ កតមា ចតស្សោ? អណ្ឌជា សុបណ្ណា, ជលាពុជា សុបណ្ណា, សំសេទជា សុបណ្ណា, ឱបបាតិកា សុបណ្ណា—ឥមា ខោ, ភិក្ខវេ, ចតស្សោ សុបណ្ណយោនិយោ”តិ។
“Bhikkhus, phoenixes reproduce in these four ways. What four? Phoenixes are born from eggs, from a womb, from moisture, or spontaneously. These are the four ways that phoenixes reproduce.”
