ပဌမပဗ္ဗတူပမသုတ္တ
A Mountain (1st)
“သေယျထာပိ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ပုရိသော ဟိမဝတော ပဗ္ဗတရာဇဿ သတ္တ သာသပမတ္တိယော ပါသာဏသက္ခရာ ဥပနိက္ခိပေယျ၊
“Bhikkhus, suppose a person was to place seven pebbles the size of mustard seeds on the Himalayas, the king of mountains.
တံ ကိံ မညထ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ကတမံ နု ခေါ ဗဟုတရံ—ယာ ဝါ သတ္တ သာသပမတ္တိယော ပါသာဏသက္ခရာ ဥပနိက္ခိတ္တာ, အယံ ဝါ ဟိမဝါ ပဗ္ဗတရာဇာ”တိ?
What do you think, bhikkhus? Which is more: the seven pebbles the size of mustard seeds, or the Himalayas, the king of mountains?”
“ဧတဒေဝ, ဘန္တေ, ဗဟုတရံ, ယဒိဒံ—ဟိမဝါ ပဗ္ဗတရာဇာ; အပ္ပမတ္တိကာ သတ္တ သာသပမတ္တိယော ပါသာဏသက္ခရာ ဥပနိက္ခိတ္တာ၊ သင်္ခမ္ပိ န ဥပေန္တိ, ဥပနိဓမ္ပိ န ဥပေန္တိ, ကလဘာဂမ္ပိ န ဥပေန္တိ ဟိမဝန္တံ ပဗ္ဗတရာဇာနံ ဥပနိဓာယ သတ္တ သာသပမတ္တိယော ပါသာဏသက္ခရာ ဥပနိက္ခိတ္တာ”တိ၊
“Sir, the Himalayas, the king of mountains, is certainly more. The seven pebbles the size of mustard seeds are tiny. Compared to the Himalayas, they don’t count, there’s no comparison, they’re not worth a fraction.”
“ဧဝမေဝ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, အရိယသာဝကဿ …ပေ…
“In the same way, for a noble disciple …
ယောဂေါ ကရဏီယော”တိ၊
