Lower Fetters
“បញ្ចិមានិ, ភិក្ខវេ, ឱរម្ភាគិយានិ សំយោជនានិ។ កតមានិ បញ្ច? សក្កាយទិដ្ឋិ, វិចិកិច្ឆា, សីលព្ពតបរាមាសោ, កាមច្ឆន្ទោ, ព្យាបាទោ—ឥមានិ ខោ, ភិក្ខវេ, បញ្ចោរម្ភាគិយានិ សំយោជនានិ។
“Bhikkhus, there are five lower fetters. What five? Identity view, doubt, misapprehension of precepts and observances, sensual desire, and ill will. These are the five lower fetters.
ឥមេសំ ខោ, ភិក្ខវេ, បញ្ចន្នំ ឱរម្ភាគិយានំ សំយោជនានំ អភិញ្ញាយ បរិញ្ញាយ បរិក្ខយាយ បហានាយ …បេ… អយំ អរិយោ អដ្ឋង្គិកោ មគ្គោ ភាវេតព្ពោ”តិ។
The noble eightfold path should be developed for the direct knowledge, complete understanding, finishing, and giving up of these five lowers fetters.”
