Personal Ties
“ចត្តារោមេ, ភិក្ខវេ, គន្ថា។ កតមេ ចត្តារោ? អភិជ្ឈា កាយគន្ថោ, ព្យាបាទោ កាយគន្ថោ, សីលព្ពតបរាមាសោ កាយគន្ថោ, ឥទំសច្ចាភិនិវេសោ កាយគន្ថោ—ឥមេ ខោ, ភិក្ខវេ, ចត្តារោ គន្ថា។
“Bhikkhus, there are these four ties. What four? The personal ties to covetousness, ill will, misapprehension of precepts and observances, and the insistence that this is the only truth. These are the four ties.
ឥមេសំ ខោ, ភិក្ខវេ, ចតុន្នំ គន្ថានំ អភិញ្ញាយ បរិញ្ញាយ បរិក្ខយាយ បហានាយ …បេ… អយំ អរិយោ អដ្ឋង្គិកោ មគ្គោ ភាវេតព្ពោ”តិ។
The noble eightfold path should be developed for the direct knowledge, complete understanding, finishing, and giving up of these four ties.”
