“ปญฺจหิ, ภิกฺขเว, ธมฺเมหิ สมนฺนาคโต อุปาสโก ยถาภตํ นิกฺขิตฺโต เอวํ นิรเยฯ กตเมหิ ปญฺจหิ? ปาณาติปาตี โหติ …เป… สุราเมรยมชฺชปมาทฏฺฐายี โหติฯ อิเมหิ โข, ภิกฺขเว, ปญฺจหิ ธมฺเมหิ สมนฺนาคโต อุปาสโก ยถาภตํ นิกฺขิตฺโต เอวํ นิรเยฯ
“Bhikkhus, a lay follower with five qualities is cast down to hell. What five? They kill living creatures, steal, commit sexual misconduct, lie, and use alcoholic drinks that cause negligence. A lay follower with these five qualities is cast down to hell.
ปญฺจหิ, ภิกฺขเว, ธมฺเมหิ สมนฺนาคโต อุปาสโก ยถาภตํ นิกฺขิตฺโต เอวํ สคฺเคฯ กตเมหิ ปญฺจหิ? ปาณาติปาตา ปฏิวิรโต โหติ …เป… สุราเมรยมชฺชปมาทฏฺฐานา ปฏิวิรโต โหติฯ อิเมหิ โข, ภิกฺขเว, ปญฺจหิ ธมฺเมหิ สมนฺนาคโต อุปาสโก ยถาภตํ นิกฺขิตฺโต เอวํ สคฺเค”ติฯ
