ธมฺมสฺสวนสุตฺต
Listening to the Teaching
“ปญฺจิเม, ภิกฺขเว, อานิสํสา ธมฺมสฺสวเนฯ กตเม ปญฺจ? อสฺสุตํ สุณาติ, สุตํ ปริโยทาเปติ, กงฺขํ วิตรติ, ทิฏฺฐึ อุชุํ กโรติ, จิตฺตมสฺส ปสีทติฯ อิเม โข, ภิกฺขเว, ปญฺจ อานิสํสา ธมฺมสฺสวเน”ติฯ
“Bhikkhus, there are these five benefits of listening to the teaching. What five? You learn new things, clarify what you’ve learned, get over uncertainty, correct your views, and inspire confidence in your mind. These are the five benefits of listening to the teaching.”
