Desire and Greed
សាវត្ថិនិទានំ។
At Sāvatthī.
ឯកមន្តំ និសិន្នំ ខោ អាយស្មន្តំ រាធំ ភគវា ឯតទវោច:
When Venerable Rādha was seated to one side, the Buddha said to him:
“រូបេ ខោ, រាធ, យោ ឆន្ទោ យោ រាគោ យា នន្ទី យា តណ្ហា, តំ បជហថ។ ឯវំ តំ រូបំ បហីនំ ភវិស្សតិ ឧច្ឆិន្នមូលំ តាលាវត្ថុកតំ អនភាវង្កតំ អាយតិំ អនុប្បាទធម្មំ។
“Rādha, you should give up any desire, greed, relishing, and craving for form. Thus that form will be given up, cut off at the root, made like a palm stump, obliterated, and unable to arise in the future.
វេទនាយ យោ ឆន្ទោ យោ រាគោ យា នន្ទី យា តណ្ហា, តំ បជហថ។ ឯវំ សា វេទនា បហីនា ភវិស្សតិ ឧច្ឆិន្នមូលា តាលាវត្ថុកតា អនភាវង្កតា អាយតិំ អនុប្បាទធម្មា។ សញ្ញាយ … សង្ខារេសុ យោ ឆន្ទោ យោ រាគោ យា នន្ទី យា តណ្ហា, តំ បជហថ។ ឯវំ តេ សង្ខារា បហីនា ភវិស្សន្តិ ឧច្ឆិន្នមូលា តាលាវត្ថុកតា អនភាវង្កតា អាយតិំ អនុប្បាទធម្មា។ វិញ្ញាណេ យោ ឆន្ទោ យោ រាគោ យា នន្ទី យា តណ្ហា, តំ បជហថ។ ឯវំ តំ វិញ្ញាណំ បហីនំ ភវិស្សតិ …បេ… អនុប្បាទធម្មន៑”តិ។
You should give up any desire, greed, relishing, and craving for feeling … perception … functioning patterns … consciousness. Thus that consciousness will be given up, cut off at the root, made like a palm stump, obliterated, and unable to arise in the future.”
