“อฏฺฐิเม, ภิกฺขเว, อนริยโวหาราฯ กตเม อฏฺฐ? อทิฏฺเฐ ทิฏฺฐวาทิตา, อสุเต สุตวาทิตา, อมุเต มุตวาทิตา, อวิญฺญาเต วิญฺญาตวาทิตา, ทิฏฺเฐ อทิฏฺฐวาทิตา, สุเต อสุตวาทิตา, มุเต อมุตวาทิตา, วิญฺญาเต อวิญฺญาตวาทิตาฯ อิเม โข, ภิกฺขเว, อฏฺฐ อนริยโวหารา”ติฯ
“Bhikkhus, there are these eight ignoble expressions. What eight? Saying you’ve seen, heard, thought, or known something, but you haven’t. And saying you haven’t seen, heard, thought, or known something, and you have. These are the eight ignoble expressions.”
