At Tikaṇḍakī
ဧကံ သမယံ ဘဂဝါ သာကေတေ ဝိဟရတိ တိကဏ္ဍကီဝနေ၊ တတြ ခေါ ဘဂဝါ ဘိက္ခူ အာမန္တေသိ: “ဘိက္ခဝေါ”တိ၊
At one time the Buddha was staying near Sāketa, in Tikaṇḍakī Wood. There the Buddha addressed the bhikkhus, “Bhikkhus!”
“ဘဒန္တေ”တိ တေ ဘိက္ခူ ဘဂဝတော ပစ္စဿောသုံ၊ ဘဂဝါ ဧတဒဝေါစ:
“Venerable sir,” they replied. The Buddha said this:
“သာဓု, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဘိက္ခု ကာလေန ကာလံ အပ္ပဋိကူလေ ပဋိကူလသညီ ဝိဟရေယျ၊
“Bhikkhus, a bhikkhu would do well to meditate from time to time perceiving the following: the repulsive in the unrepulsive,
သာဓု, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဘိက္ခု ကာလေန ကာလံ ပဋိကူလေ အပ္ပဋိကူလသညီ ဝိဟရေယျ၊
the unrepulsive in the repulsive,
သာဓု, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဘိက္ခု ကာလေန ကာလံ အပ္ပဋိကူလေ စ ပဋိကူလေ စ ပဋိကူလသညီ ဝိဟရေယျ၊
the repulsive in both the unrepulsive and the repulsive, and
သာဓု, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဘိက္ခု ကာလေန ကာလံ ပဋိကူလေ စ အပ္ပဋိကူလေ စ အပ္ပဋိကူလသညီ ဝိဟရေယျ၊
the unrepulsive in both the repulsive and the unrepulsive.
သာဓု, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဘိက္ခု ကာလေန ကာလံ ပဋိကူလဉ္စ အပ္ပဋိကူလဉ္စ တဒုဘယံ အဘိနိဝဇ္ဇေတွာ ဥပေက္ခကော ဝိဟရေယျ သတော သမ္ပဇာနော၊
A bhikkhu would do well to meditate from time to time staying equanimous, mindful and aware, rejecting both the repulsive and the unrepulsive.
ကိဉ္စ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဘိက္ခု အတ္ထဝသံ ပဋိစ္စ အပ္ပဋိကူလေ ပဋိကူလသညီ ဝိဟရေယျ? ‘မာ မေ ရဇနီယေသု ဓမ္မေသု ရာဂေါ ဥဒပါဒီ'တိ—ဣဒံ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဘိက္ခု အတ္ထဝသံ ပဋိစ္စ အပ္ပဋိကူလေ ပဋိကူလသညီ ဝိဟရေယျ၊
For what reason should a bhikkhu meditate perceiving the repulsive in the unrepulsive? ‘May greed not arise in me for things that arouse greed.’ A bhikkhu should meditate perceiving the repulsive in the unrepulsive for this reason.
ကိဉ္စ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဘိက္ခု အတ္ထဝသံ ပဋိစ္စ ပဋိကူလေ အပ္ပဋိကူလသညီ ဝိဟရေယျ? ‘မာ မေ ဒေါသနီယေသု ဓမ္မေသု ဒေါသော ဥဒပါဒီ'တိ—ဣဒံ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဘိက္ခု အတ္ထဝသံ ပဋိစ္စ ပဋိကူလေ အပ္ပဋိကူလသညီ ဝိဟရေယျ၊

For what reason should a bhikkhu meditate staying equanimous, mindful and aware, rejecting both the repulsive and the unrepulsive? ‘May no greed for things that arouse greed, hate for things that provoke hate, or delusion for things that promote delusion arise in me in any way at all.’ For this reason a bhikkhu should meditate staying equanimous, mindful and aware, rejecting both the repulsive and the unrepulsive.”
