“อริยํ โว, ภิกฺขเว, สมฺมาสมาธึ เทเสสฺสามิ เสาปนิสํ สปริกฺขารํฯ ตํ สุณาถฯ

กตโม จ, ภิกฺขเว, อริโย สมฺมาสมาธิ เสาปนิโส สปริกฺขาโร? เสยฺยถิทํ—สมฺมาทิฏฺฐิ …เป… สมฺมาสติฯ
And what is noble right samādhi with its vital conditions and its prerequisites? There are right view, right thought, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, and right mindfulness.
ยา โข, ภิกฺขเว, อิเมหิ สตฺตหงฺเคหิ จิตฺตสฺส เอกคฺคตา สปริกฺขารตา—อยํ วุจฺจติ, ภิกฺขเว, อริโย สมฺมาสมาธิ เสาปนิโส อิติปิ สปริกฺขาโร อิติปี”ติฯ
Unification of mind with these seven factors as prerequisites is called noble right samādhi ‘with its vital conditions’ and ‘with its prerequisites’.”
