សមាធិមូលកសមាបត្តិសុត្ត
Entering Samādhi
សាវត្ថិនិទានំ។
At Sāvatthī.
“ចត្តារោមេ, ភិក្ខវេ, ឈាយី។ កតមេ ចត្តារោ?
“Bhikkhus, there are these four meditators. What four?
ឥធ, ភិក្ខវេ, ឯកច្ចោ ឈាយី សមាធិស្មិំ សមាធិកុសលោ ហោតិ, ន សមាធិស្មិំ សមាបត្តិកុសលោ។
One meditator is skilled in samādhi but not in entering it.
ឥធ បន, ភិក្ខវេ, ឯកច្ចោ ឈាយី សមាធិស្មិំ សមាបត្តិកុសលោ ហោតិ, ន សមាធិស្មិំ សមាធិកុសលោ។
One meditator is not skilled in samādhi but is skilled in entering it.
ឥធ បន, ភិក្ខវេ, ឯកច្ចោ ឈាយី នេវ សមាធិស្មិំ សមាធិកុសលោ ហោតិ, ន ច សមាធិស្មិំ សមាបត្តិកុសលោ។
One meditator is skilled neither in samādhi nor in entering it.
ឥធ បន, ភិក្ខវេ, ឯកច្ចោ ឈាយី សមាធិស្មិំ សមាធិកុសលោ ច ហោតិ, សមាធិស្មិំ សមាបត្តិកុសលោ ច។
One meditator is skilled both in samādhi and in entering it.
តត្រ, ភិក្ខវេ, យ្វាយំ ឈាយី សមាធិស្មិំ សមាធិកុសលោ ច ហោតិ សមាធិស្មិំ សមាបត្តិកុសលោ ច អយំ ឥមេសំ ចតុន្នំ ឈាយីនំ អគ្គោ ច សេដ្ឋោ ច មោក្ខោ ច ឧត្តមោ ច បវរោ ច។
Of these, the meditator skilled in samādhi and in entering it is the foremost, best, chief, highest, and finest of the four.
សេយ្យថាបិ, ភិក្ខវេ, គវា ខីរំ, ខីរម្ហា ទធិ, ទធិម្ហា នវនីតំ, នវនីតម្ហា សប្បិ, សប្បិម្ហា សប្បិមណ្ឌោ តត្រ អគ្គមក្ខាយតិ;
From a cow comes milk, from milk comes curds, from curds come butter, from butter comes ghee, and from ghee comes cream of ghee. And the cream of ghee is said to be the best of these.
ឯវមេវ ខោ, ភិក្ខវេ, យ្វាយំ ឈាយី សមាធិស្មិំ សមាធិកុសលោ ច ហោតិ សមាធិស្មិំ សមាបត្តិកុសលោ ច អយំ ឥមេសំ ចតុន្នំ ឈាយីនំ អគ្គោ ច សេដ្ឋោ ច មោក្ខោ ច ឧត្តមោ ច បវរោ ចា”តិ។
In the same way, the meditator skilled in samādhi and entering it is the foremost, best, leading, highest, and finest of the four.”
