“သေယျထာပိ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဂင်္ဂါ နဒီ ပါစီနနိန္နာ ပါစီနပေါဏာ ပါစီနပဗ္ဘာရာ; ဧဝမေဝ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဘိက္ခု အရိယံ အဋ္ဌင်္ဂိကံ မဂ္ဂံ ဘာဝေန္တော အရိယံ အဋ္ဌင်္ဂိကံ မဂ္ဂံ ဗဟုလီကရောန္တော နိဗ္ဗာနနိန္နော ဟောတိ နိဗ္ဗာနပေါဏော နိဗ္ဗာနပဗ္ဘာရော၊
“Bhikkhus, the Ganges river slants, slopes, and inclines to the east. In the same way, a bhikkhu who develops and cultivates the noble eightfold path slants, slopes, and inclines to Nibbana.
ကထဉ္စ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဘိက္ခု အရိယံ အဋ္ဌင်္ဂိကံ မဂ္ဂံ ဘာဝေန္တော အရိယံ အဋ္ဌင်္ဂိကံ မဂ္ဂံ ဗဟုလီကရောန္တော နိဗ္ဗာနနိန္နော ဟောတိ နိဗ္ဗာနပေါဏော နိဗ္ဗာနပဗ္ဘာရော? ဣဓ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဘိက္ခု သမ္မာဒိဋ္ဌိံ ဘာဝေတိ ရာဂဝိနယပရိယောသာနံ ဒေါသဝိနယပရိယောသာနံ မောဟဝိနယပရိယောသာနံ …ပေ… သမ္မာသမာဓိံ ဘာဝေတိ ရာဂဝိနယပရိယောသာနံ ဒေါသဝိနယပရိယောသာနံ မောဟဝိနယပရိယောသာနံ၊ ဧဝံ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဘိက္ခု အရိယံ အဋ္ဌင်္ဂိကံ မဂ္ဂံ ဘာဝေန္တော အရိယံ အဋ္ဌင်္ဂိကံ မဂ္ဂံ ဗဟုလီကရောန္တော နိဗ္ဗာနနိန္နော ဟောတိ နိဗ္ဗာနပေါဏော နိဗ္ဗာနပဗ္ဘာရော”တိ၊
And how does a bhikkhu who develops the noble eightfold path slant, slope, and incline to Nibbana? It’s when a bhikkhu develops right view, right thought, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right samādhi, which culminate in the removal of greed, hate, and delusion. That’s how a bhikkhu who develops and cultivates the noble eightfold path slants, slopes, and inclines to Nibbana.”
