“Someone without four things is said to have ‘fallen from this teaching and training’. What four? Noble ethics, samādhi, wisdom, and freedom. Someone without these four things is said to have ‘fallen from this teaching and training’.
စတူဟိ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဓမ္မေဟိ သမန္နာဂတော ‘ဣမသ္မာ ဓမ္မဝိနယာ အပပတိတော'တိ ဝုစ္စတိ၊ ကတမေဟိ စတူဟိ? အရိယေန, ဘိက္ခဝေ, သီလေန သမန္နာဂတော ‘ဣမသ္မာ ဓမ္မဝိနယာ အပပတိတော'တိ ဝုစ္စတိ၊ အရိယေန, ဘိက္ခဝေ, သမာဓိနာ သမန္နာဂတော ‘ဣမသ္မာ ဓမ္မဝိနယာ အပပတိတော'တိ ဝုစ္စတိ၊ အရိယာယ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ပညာယ သမန္နာဂတော ‘ဣမသ္မာ ဓမ္မဝိနယာ အပပတိတော'တိ ဝုစ္စတိ၊ အရိယာယ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဝိမုတ္တိယာ သမန္နာဂတော ‘ဣမသ္မာ ဓမ္မဝိနယာ အပပတိတော'တိ ဝုစ္စတိ၊ ဣမေဟိ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, စတူဟိ ဓမ္မေဟိ သမန္နာဂတော ‘ဣမသ္မာ ဓမ္မဝိနယာ အပပတိတော'တိ ဝုစ္စတီတိ၊
Someone with four things is said to be ‘secure in this teaching and training’. What four? Noble ethics, samādhi, wisdom, and freedom. Someone with these four things is said to be ‘secure in this teaching and training’.
စုတာ ပတန္တိ ပတိတာ, ဂိဒ္ဓါ စ ပုနရာဂတာ; ကတံ ကိစ္စံ ရတံ ရမ္မံ, သုခေနာနွာဂတံ သုခန်”တိ၊
They fall, collapsed and fallen; greedy, they return. The work is done, the joyful is enjoyed, happiness is found through happiness.”
