“ขตฺติโย ทฺวิปทํ เสฏฺโฐ, พลีพทฺโท จตุปฺปทํ; โกมารี เสฏฺฐา ภริยานํ, โย จ ปุตฺตาน ปุพฺพโช”ติฯ
“A khattiya class person is the best of bipeds, an ox is the best of quadrupeds, a maiden is the best of wives, and a first-born the best of sons.”
“สมฺพุทฺโธ ทฺวิปทํ เสฏฺโฐ, อาชานีโย จตุปฺปทํ; สุสฺสูสา เสฏฺฐา ภริยานํ, โย จ ปุตฺตานมสฺสโว”ติฯ
“A Buddha is the best of bipeds, a thoroughbred, the best of quadrupeds, a good listener is the best of wives, and the best of sons is loyal.”
