Kinds of Sensual Stimulation

“ပဉ္စိမေ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ကာမဂုဏာ၊ ကတမေ ပဉ္စ? စက္ခုဝိညေယျာ ရူပါ ဣဋ္ဌာ ကန္တာ မနာပါ ပိယရူပါ ကာမူပသံဟိတာ ရဇနီယာ, သောတဝိညေယျာ သဒ္ဒါ …ပေ… ဃာနဝိညေယျာ ဂန္ဓာ … ဇိဝှါဝိညေယျာ ရသာ … ကာယဝိညေယျာ ဖောဋ္ဌဗ္ဗာ ဣဋ္ဌာ ကန္တာ မနာပါ ပိယရူပါ ကာမူပသံဟိတာ ရဇနီယာ၊ ဣမေ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ပဉ္စ ကာမဂုဏာ၊

“Bhikkhus, there are these five kinds of sensual stimulation. What five? Sights known by the eye that are likable, desirable, agreeable, pleasant, sensual, and arousing. Sounds known by the ear … Smells known by the nose … Tastes known by the tongue … Touches known by the body that are likable, desirable, agreeable, pleasant, sensual, and arousing. These are the five kinds of sensual stimulation.

ဣမေသံ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ပဉ္စန္နံ ကာမဂုဏာနံ ပဟာနာယ …ပေ… ဣမေ စတ္တာရော သတိပဋ္ဌာနာ ဘာဝေတဗ္ဗာ”တိ၊

To give up these five kinds of sensual stimulation you should develop the four kinds of mindfulness meditation. …”
