Black Snakes (2nd)
“ပဉ္စိမေ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, အာဒီနဝါ ကဏှသပ္ပေ၊ ကတမေ ပဉ္စ? ကောဓနော, ဥပနာဟီ, ဃောရဝိသော, ဒုဇ္ဇိဝှေါ, မိတ္တဒုဗ္ဘီ၊ ဣမေ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ပဉ္စ အာဒီနဝါ ကဏှသပ္ပေ၊
“Bhikkhus, there are these five drawbacks of a black snake. What five? It’s irritable, hostile, venomous, fork-tongued, and treacherous. These are the five dangers of a black snake.
ဧဝမေဝံ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ပဉ္စိမေ အာဒီနဝါ မာတုဂါမေ၊ ကတမေ ပဉ္စ? ကောဓနော, ဥပနာဟီ, ဃောရဝိသော, ဒုဇ္ဇိဝှေါ, မိတ္တဒုဗ္ဘီ၊ တတြိဒံ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, မာတုဂါမဿ ဃောရဝိသတာ—ယေဘုယျေန, ဘိက္ခဝေ, မာတုဂါမော တိဗ္ဗရာဂေါ၊ တတြိဒံ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, မာတုဂါမဿ ဒုဇ္ဇိဝှတာ—ယေဘုယျေန, ဘိက္ခဝေ, မာတုဂါမော ပိသုဏဝါစော၊ တတြိဒံ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, မာတုဂါမဿ မိတ္တဒုဗ္ဘိတာ—ယေဘုယျေန, ဘိက္ခဝေ, မာတုဂါမော အတိစာရိနီ၊ ဣမေ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ပဉ္စ အာဒီနဝါ မာတုဂါမေ”တိ၊
In the same way there are five drawbacks of a female. What five? She’s irritable, hostile, venomous, fork-tongued, and treacherous. This is a female’s venom: usually she’s very lustful. This is a female’s forked tongue: usually she speaks divisively. This is a female’s treachery: usually she’s an adulteress. These are the five drawbacks of a female.”
