Black Snakes (1st)
“ပဉ္စိမေ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, အာဒီနဝါ ကဏှသပ္ပေ၊ ကတမေ ပဉ္စ? အသုစိ, ဒုဂ္ဂန္ဓော, သဘီရု, သပ္ပဋိဘယော, မိတ္တဒုဗ္ဘီ၊ ဣမေ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ပဉ္စ အာဒီနဝါ ကဏှသပ္ပေ၊
“Bhikkhus, there are these five drawbacks of a black snake. What five? It’s filthy, stinking, cowardly, frightening, and treacherous. These are the five dangers of a black snake.
ဧဝမေဝံ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ပဉ္စိမေ အာဒီနဝါ မာတုဂါမေ၊ ကတမေ ပဉ္စ? အသုစိ, ဒုဂ္ဂန္ဓော, သဘီရု, သပ္ပဋိဘယော, မိတ္တဒုဗ္ဘီ၊ ဣမေ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ပဉ္စ အာဒီနဝါ မာတုဂါမေ”တိ၊
In the same way there are five drawbacks of a female. What five? She’s filthy, stinking, cowardly, frightening, and treacherous. These are the five drawbacks of a female.”
