ဧကံ သမယံ ဘဂဝါ သာဝတ္ထိယံ ဝိဟရတိ ဇေတဝနေ အနာထပိဏ္ဍိကဿ အာရာမေ … “စတဿော ဣမာ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဓာတုယော၊ ကတမာ စတဿော? ပထဝီဓာတု, အာပေါဓာတု, တေဇောဓာတု, ဝါယောဓာတု—ဣမာ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, စတဿော ဓာတုယော”တိ၊
At one time the Buddha was staying near Sāvatthī in Jeta’s Grove, Anāthapiṇḍika’s monastery. … “Bhikkhus, there are these four elements. What four? The elements of earth, water, fire, and air. These are the four elements.”
