ဗျာကရဏသုတ္တ
Declaration
တတြ ခေါ အာယသ္မာ မဟာမောဂ္ဂလ္လာနော ဘိက္ခူ အာမန္တေသိ: “အာဝုသော ဘိက္ခဝေ”တိ၊
There Venerable Mahāmoggallāna addressed the bhikkhus: “Friends, bhikkhus!”
“အာဝုသော”တိ ခေါ တေ ဘိက္ခူ အာယသ္မတော မဟာမောဂ္ဂလ္လာနဿ ပစ္စဿောသုံ၊ အာယသ္မာ မဟာမောဂ္ဂလ္လာနော ဧတဒဝေါစ:
“Friend,” they replied. Venerable Mahāmoggallāna said this:
“ဣဓာဝုသော, ဘိက္ခု အညံ ဗျာကရောတိ: ‘ခီဏာ ဇာတိ, ဝုသိတံ ဗြဟ္မစရိယံ, ကတံ ကရဏီယံ, နာပရံ ဣတ္ထတ္တာယာတိ ပဇာနာမီ'တိ၊ တမေနံ တထာဂတော ဝါ တထာဂတသာဝကော ဝါ ဈာယီ သမာပတ္တိကုသလော ပရစိတ္တကုသလော ပရစိတ္တပရိယာယကုသလော သမနုယုဉ္ဇတိ သမနုဂ္ဂါဟတိ သမနုဘာသတိ၊ သော တထာဂတေန ဝါ တထာဂတသာဝကေန ဝါ ဈာယိနာ သမာပတ္တိကုသလေန ပရစိတ္တကုသလေန ပရစိတ္တပရိယာယကုသလေန သမနုယုဉ္ဇိယမာနော သမနုဂ္ဂါဟိယမာနော သမနုဘာသိယမာနော ဣရီဏံ အာပဇ္ဇတိ ဝိစိနံ အာပဇ္ဇတိ အနယံ အာပဇ္ဇတိ ဗျသနံ အာပဇ္ဇတိ အနယဗျသနံ အာပဇ္ဇတိ၊
“Take a bhikkhu who declares enlightenment: ‘I understand: “Rebirth is ended, the spiritual journey has been completed, what had to be done has been done, there is no return to any state of existence.”’ They’re pursued, pressed, and grilled by the Realized One, or by one of his disciples who has the jhānas, and is skilled in attainments, in the minds of others, and in the ways of another’s mind. Grilled in this way they get stuck or lose their way. They fall to ruin and disaster.
တမေနံ တထာဂတော ဝါ တထာဂတသာဝကော ဝါ ဈာယီ သမာပတ္တိကုသလော ပရစိတ္တကုသလော ပရစိတ္တပရိယာယကုသလော ဧဝံ စေတသာ စေတော ပရိစ္စ မနသိ ကရောတိ: ‘ကိံ နု ခေါ အယမာယသ္မာ အညံ ဗျာကရောတိ—
The Realized One or one of his disciples comprehends their mind and investigates: ‘Why does this venerable declare enlightenment, saying:
ခီဏာ ဇာတိ, ဝုသိတံ ဗြဟ္မစရိယံ, ကတံ ကရဏီယံ, နာပရံ ဣတ္ထတ္တာယာတိ ပဇာနာမီ'တိ?
“I understand: ‘Rebirth is ended, the spiritual journey has been completed, what had to be done has been done, there is no return to any state of existence.’?”’
တမေနံ တထာဂတော ဝါ တထာဂတသာဝကော ဝါ ဈာယီ သမာပတ္တိကုသလော ပရစိတ္တကုသလော ပရစိတ္တပရိယာယကုသလော ဧဝံ စေတသာ စေတော ပရိစ္စ ပဇာနာတိ:
They understand:
‘ကောဓနော ခေါ အယမာယသ္မာ; ကောဓပရိယုဋ္ဌိတေန စေတသာ ဗဟုလံ ဝိဟရတိ၊ ကောဓပရိယုဋ္ဌာနံ ခေါ ပန တထာဂတပ္ပဝေဒိတေ ဓမ္မဝိနယေ ပရိဟာနမေတံ၊
‘This venerable gets irritable, and often lives with a heart full of anger. But being full of anger means decline in the teaching and training proclaimed by the Realized One.
ဥပနာဟီ ခေါ ပန အယမာယသ္မာ; ဥပနာဟပရိယုဋ္ဌိတေန စေတသာ ဗဟုလံ ဝိဟရတိ၊ ဥပနာဟပရိယုဋ္ဌာနံ ခေါ ပန တထာဂတပ္ပဝေဒိတေ ဓမ္မဝိနယေ ပရိဟာနမေတံ၊

This venerable has corrupt wishes, and often lives with a heart full of desire. But being full of desire means decline in the teaching and training proclaimed by the Realized One.
သတိ ခေါ ပန အယမာယသ္မာ ဥတ္တရိ ကရဏီယေ ဩရမတ္တကေန ဝိသေသာဓိဂမေန အန္တရာ ဝေါသာနံ အာပန္နော၊ အန္တရာ ဝေါသာနဂမနံ ခေါ ပန တထာဂတပ္ပဝေဒိတေ ဓမ္မဝိနယေ ပရိဟာနမေတံ'၊
When there is still more to be done, this venerable stopped half-way after achieving some insignificant distinction. But stopping half-way means decline in the teaching and training proclaimed by the Realized One.’
သော ဝတာဝုသော, ဘိက္ခု ‘ဣမေ ဒသ ဓမ္မေ အပ္ပဟာယ ဣမသ္မိံ ဓမ္မဝိနယေ ဝုဒ္ဓိံ ဝိရူဠှိံ ဝေပုလ္လံ အာပဇ္ဇိဿတီ'တိ နေတံ ဌာနံ ဝိဇ္ဇတိ၊ သော ဝတာဝုသော, ဘိက္ခု ‘ဣမေ ဒသ ဓမ္မေ ပဟာယ ဣမသ္မိံ ဓမ္မဝိနယေ ဝုဒ္ဓိံ ဝိရူဠှိံ ဝေပုလ္လံ အာပဇ္ဇိဿတီ'တိ ဌာနမေတံ ဝိဇ္ဇတီ”တိ၊
It’s quite impossible for a bhikkhu to achieve growth, improvement, or maturity in this teaching and training without giving up these ten qualities. It is quite possible for a bhikkhu to achieve growth, improvement, or maturity in this teaching and training after giving up these ten qualities.”
