अनिच्चानुपस्सीसुत्त

Aniccānupassīsutta

Observing Impermanence

सावत्थिनिदानं।

Sāvatthinidānaṁ.

At Sāvatthī.

“सद्धापब्बजितस्स, भिक्खवे, कुलपुत्तस्स अयमनुधम्मो होति—यं रूपे अनिच्चानुपस्सी विहरेय्य। वेदनाय … सञ्ञाय … सङ्खारेसु … विञ्ञाणे अनिच्चानुपस्सी विहरेय्य …पे… ‘परिमुच्चति दुक्खस्माऽति वदामी”ति।

“Saddhāpabbajitassa, bhikkhave, kulaputtassa ayamanudhammo hoti—yaṁ rūpe aniccānupassī vihareyya. Vedanāya … saññāya … saṅkhāresu … viññāṇe aniccānupassī vihareyya …pe… ‘parimuccati dukkhasmā’ti vadāmī”ti.

“Bhikkhus, when a gentleman has gone forth out of faith, this is what’s in line with the teachings. They should meditate watching, again and again, impermanence in form, feeling, perception, functioning patterns, and consciousness. … They’re freed from suffering, I say.”
